The MotoGP World Championship makes its return to the United States for the first of two races this season, with a trip to Austin’s Circuit of the Americas (Indianapolis, August 9, is the second U.S. round).
Still, the Spaniard heads into this weekend’s race looking to three-peat, and get on the board for 2015 after Valentino Rossi snared the win in the season-opener in Qatar two weeks ago.
“I really enjoyed it! I love this circuit and I feel so good on and off track here.” Marquez said in a track advance release.
“I really would like to see much more,” he said of the city. “Austin is a city for students and when you are walking around you realize that there is a lot of fun to be had! For me, it’s one of the best venues on our race calendar.
“I think MotoGP in the US is growing and Austin has been very successful the last two years, so let’s hope this continues!”
