IndyCar warmup, GT3, Pro Mazda races at NOLA scratched due to rain


AVONDALE, La. – Rain continues to reign at NOLA Motorsports Park, with this morning’s Verizon IndyCar Series A 30-minute warmup was scratched due to heavy rain and large amounts of standing water on the 2.74-mile NOLA Motorsports Park circuit.

Additionally, a round of the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama has been canceled, and will be made up at another venue to be determined later this year.

The second race of the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires scheduled for this morning has also been scrubbed for the day.

Per Trackside Online, the safety helicopter can’t take off to get here, land on site, or take off from here.
