Formula E will finally hit European shores on May 9 with the Monaco ePrix, taking place on part of the legendary city streets that welcome Formula 1 every single year.

The track will see the electric-powered cars start on the same straight as in F1 and run up to Sainte Devote, the first corner, before taking a different street that stays around the harbour.

Drivers will get back onto the F1 circuit on the run down to the fast-left hander Tabac before completing the final sector of the regular circuit.

In this video, Bird goes for a lap of the track in a road car and explains the challenge of racing at Monaco, having experienced the event back in GP2.

The British racer also reveals how he came into contact with Virgin Racing, the team who he is driving for this year, and why he thinks that Formula E is the best racing grid outside of F1.

Fabio Quartararo won the Catalan Grand Prix, recapturing the MotoGP points lead and his championship momentum Sunday with his third victory of the season.

Quartararo, who opened the season with his first two career victories in the premier series, took his first checkered flag in two months by winning at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya aboard his Petronas Yamaha SRT.

The French rider opened an eight-point lead (108-100) over Joan Mir, who finished second Sunday. Alex Rins was third.

After winning the previous race, Maverick Vinales slipped to 18 points behind Quartararo after a ninth-place finish.

Andrea Dovizioso was the points leader entering the race but crashed his Ducati in the second turn and placed last. Dovizioso fell three spots to fourth in the championship rankings, 24 points behind Fabio Quartararo in MotoGP.
