Spencer Pigot ended Ed Jones’ P1 reign in the Indy Lights series, finishing a sweep of the series’ duel races at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala.
In race two, Pigot beat Jack Harvey by 5.9 seconds, for the Juncos Racing rookie’s second win. Pigot led all 65 laps over the course of the two races.
Through four races, only two laps have been led by a driver who did not win an event.
Rounding out the top five was Max Chilton, Felix Serralles and Scott Anderson.
Jones, who won the first three races of the season, made contact with Kyle Kaiser on Lap 2, causing a tire problem that sent Jones to the pits, putting him a lap down. He would finish 11th.
Kaiser was the only driver to not finish the race. He entered the pits after 11 laps to deal with an engine problem and never returned, finishing 12th.
