Huertas returns, Dracone back as well for GP of Indy at Coyne

The same two drivers who started the season for Dale Coyne Racing will be back in action for this weekend’s Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis, the team has confirmed Wednesday.

Up until Wednesday, it appeared as though the pair of drivers from the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama, Rodolfo Gonzalez and Francesco Dracone, would be set to drive the Nos. 18 and 19 Hondas for the team.

However, IndyCar and the team have confirmed Wednesday that Carlos Huertas will be back in the No. 18 car after a two-race hiatus.

In the interim, Rocky Moran Jr., Conor Daly and Gonzalez have all had seat time in the car.

Huertas started 17th and finished 13th a year ago, and the team’s good strategy call had him well-positioned for an even better result before an issue during a pit stop.

Dracone will continue for at least one further race beyond his initial four-race commitment.
