Hinchcliffe released from hospital, expected to make full recovery (VIDEO)

James Hinchcliffe has been officially released from the IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on May 26, following surgery May 18 for an upper left thigh and pelvic injury suffered in a practice crash on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval.

He is still expected to make a full recovery from his injuries.

Hinchcliffe is out indefinitely from competition, and it remains to be seen when he could return to competition. Conor Daly will fill in for him in the No. 5 Arrow/Lucas Oil Schmidt Peterson Honda this weekend at Detroit.

Both James Davison and his cousin Will, along with 2014 Verizon IndyCar Series champion Will Power, visited Hinchcliffe in the hospital, with the Davisons posting a picture to Twitter on Tuesday.
