The second free practice session for the Honda Indy Toronto event was rained out on Friday, limiting running to just a single reconnaissance lap before the checkered flag was shown.
Heavy rain in the lead up to the start of practice two prompted most of the teams and drivers to remain in their garages and not brave the slippery track for fear of spinning off and causing damage to their cars.
The only driver to head out was Scott Dixon, albeit just for one lap to make sure that the electrical issue that sidelined him during first practice on Friday morning had been fixed by the Ganassi team.
With 20 minutes of the session gone and none of the teams looking likely to head out on track, circuit officials decided to call it a day and put out the checkered flag, ending proceedings early.
The teams will be hoping for dryer conditions on Saturday in Toronto for final practice and qualifying, with the latter being shown on NBCSN at 5pm ET.
