It’s been a thrilling first 125 laps, and 250 miles, of the MAVTV 500 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif.
Yes, Helio Castroneves led Graham Rahal, Tony Kanaan, Ryan Briscoe and Juan Pablo Montoya at the 125-lap mark, but that excludes others like Scott Dixon, Ed Carpenter, Takuma Sato and Will Power who have factored into the lead pack at some point during the race.
Seemingly half the 23-car field has been in the lead, near the lead or in the top five at some point during the race.
And it could all change based on pit strategy, car fall off, tire fall off, or something else.
It’s been a mix of two and three-wide racing, comers and goers, and no cautions.
