The 93rd running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb was held on Sunday and the winner made some history, which could be revised soon.
Though the results are under review due to an “unprecedented situation on race day of two checkered flags in different locations on the course,” the provisional winner was Rhys Millen, the son of Rod Millen.
Rhys Millen set a record for an electric car with a time of 9:07.222 on the 12.42-mile course on the mountain driving the eO PP03.
In second was Nobuhiro Tajima driving a Tajima Rimac E-Runner Concept One to a time of 9:32.401. Third was Paul Dallenbach, setting a class record in a PPC-Open Wheel car with a time of 9:36.496.
