Verizon IndyCar Series rookie Gabby Chaves went driving in a Honda/HPD Midget this weekend at the Indianapolis Speedrome for the 100-lap Tony Stewart Classic Midget Race. The car was prepared by short-track ace Levi Jones.
Honda’s HPD Trackside team put together a video of Chaves’ night, above.
Meanwhile, NBCSN IndyCar pit reporter Robin Miller put together two good pieces on RACER.com: a night recap here, and a video interview here.
It’s cool to see the kid expand his horizons beyond IndyCar, and it’s cool to see Honda help put it together.
