We’re back. The three-week national nightmare is over. The Verizon IndyCar Series is back in action for the first time since Graham Rahal won at Mid-Ohio.
The series got its race weekend at Pocono Raceway underway with a one hour rookie orientation. Only Sage Karam, Gabby Chaves and Stefano Coletti took part in session.
Unsurprisingly, Karam’s No. 8 Chevrolet for Ganassi Racing was the fastest of the session, peaking at 219.114 mph just before the rest of the 24-car field joined him on the three-turn track.
The full-practice session is scheduled for 90 minutes and will end at 11 am ET. It can be watched at http://racecontrol.indycar.com.
