Stefan Wilson reflects on how caring a person his brother Justin was

Stefan Wilson has posted several messages on Twitter, paying tribute to his brother Justin. It was confirmed late Monday night that Justin Wilson died at age 37 from head injuries sustained in an accident on Sunday at Pocono Raceway.

Stefan Wilson, who turns 26 next month, posted these tweets:

“Can’t even begin to describe the loss I feel right now. He was my Brother, my best friend, my role model and mentor. He was a champion!

“He never stopped giving & caring for others. Even at this time. He had pre-chosen to donate his organs to help others in need.

“I often told him, I just want to grow up to be half the man he is, as that will make me a pretty good man.”

“He lived for this sport, he loved it. The only comfort I feel is that he lived a life he loved! RIP mate, I’ll chuffing miss you.”

Stefan and Justin Wilson had one race as teammates in the Verizon IndyCar Series, both driving for Dale Coyne Racing in the 2013 race at Baltimore, when they were “bromates.”

It marks Stefan Wilson’s lone IndyCar start of his career at this point.
