The Formula 1 paddock came together on Sunday to pay tribute to IndyCar driver Justin Wilson following his death at the age of 37.

Wilson died from a severe head injury sustained in the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway on August 23, having been hit by debris from another car that had crashed.

The British driver spent one year racing in Formula 1 with Minardi and Jaguar (pictured) in 2003 before moving to the United States for 2004 and beginning his successful career in ChampCar and, later, IndyCar.

A number of drivers are racing with tributes to Wilson on their helmets this weekend at Monza, and ahead of the race on Sunday, the paddock united to hold a minute’s silence in his memory.
