IndyCar and NASCAR team owner Chip Ganassi suffered a broken clavicle Saturday after crashing a bicycle in Pittsburgh, Chip Ganassi Racing confirmed to NASCAR Talk on Tuesday.
Ganassi underwent surgery Sunday and is expected to be in attendance for the Sprint Cup Series’ regular season finale at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday, which can be seen on NBCSN.
Ganassi just won the Verizon IndyCar Series’ championship with Scott Dixon, the driver’s fourth with CGR, and celebrated his 100th win as an IndyCar owner.
