IndyCar: Boston Grand Prix names first 3 partners

Officials of the Grand Prix of Boston on Tuesday announced partnerships with three local companies for next year’s inaugural event.

To be held on Labor Day weekend (Sept. 2-4, 2016), the Verizon IndyCar Series event will take place along the picturesque South Boston waterfront.

The new partners are:

* Herb Chambers Companies, New England’s largest automobile dealership.

* Polar Beverages, the country’s largest independent soft-drink bottler, will be the Official Sparkling Seltzer Water, Soft Drink, and Bottled Water of the Grand Prix of Boston.

* The Westin Boston Waterfront hotel will serve as the event headquarters and one of the official hotels of the Grand Prix.

“It’s only fitting that our first three (partnerships) are local companies, with deep ties to the community,” said Mark Perrone, Grand Prix of Boston President/CEO. “We made a commitment early in this process to support local businesses, and we place enormous value in their support and participation. This is a huge endorsement for the Grand Prix.”
