Andretti Sports Marketing becomes LST Marketing

After a lawsuit between Andretti Autosport and Andretti Sports Marketing was settled last month, a decision was reached for ASM to be sold to John Lopes and Starke Taylor and renamed.

The company, responsible for promoting IndyCar’s races at NOLA Motorsports Park and the Milwaukee Mile, has now been rechristened LST Marketing.

The status of NOLA and Milwaukee for the 2016 IndyCar schedule is not yet known, although NOLA was reportedly on a multi-year contract when it was announced last season.

A press release on the company’s under construction website says the LST will “feature expanded offerings, including creative services, automotive retail marketing, sponsorship activation and hospitality management as well as in-house marketing analytics capabilities.”

Taylor will serve as president and will be responsible for day-to-day operations from LST Marketing’s Indianapolis headquarters.

“This is a very exciting time for our dedicated staff and our clients,” Taylor said in a release. “Our expanded services will open new opportunities in the experiential marketing space as well as sports marketing, business and entertainment.”

Also joining the ownership group for LST is John Herron, who has previously worked as CEO, president and chief nuclear officer of Mississippi-based Entergy Nuclear until 2013 and currently is on the board of directors for Duke Energy and Ontario Power.
