Revised 2016 Formula 1 schedule revealed at WMSC meeting

Several changes have been confirmed to the updated provisional calendar for the 2016 Formula 1 season, following today’s World Motor Sport Council meeting.

The first domino that was set to fall was the Australian Grand Prix moving forward two weeks, which was announced prior to the WMSC meeting.

In total, eight of the 21 races announced have either moved locations or dates from the previous provisional calendar.

May 1 – Russian Grand Prix
May 15 – Spanish Grand Prix
May 29 – Monaco Grand Prix
June 12 – Canadian Grand Prix
June 19 – European Grand Prix (Azerbaijan)*
July 3 – Austrian Grand Prix
