General Tire will make its debut into stock car racing next season, taking over as tire supplier for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards in 2016.
“The General Tire brand celebrated 100 years of innovating tire technology this year and we are proud to continue that tradition in the ARCA Racing Series in 2016,” Travis Roffler, director of marketing for General Tire, said in a release.
“ARCA produces some fantastic racing and allows us to expose the General brand to a whole new audience of motorsports fans. We’re eager to expand our portfolio and showcase our technologies to such a dedicated audience.”
Added ARCA president Ron Drager, “We are pleased to welcome General Tire as a corporate partner in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. General Tire’s participation will be evident in many ways, including a broad based activation package with our broadcast partners, race event venues and teams, as well as contributing extensive knowledge and experience in tire manufacturing technology.”
