Kyle Larson is a wheel man, and frankly, it was a bit of a shame this year he wasn’t able to break through and claim his first win in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in his second season.
One thing he did claim earlier this year was win a Rolex watch at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, co-driving with his NASCAR teammate Jamie McMurray and Chip Ganassi Racing IndyCar aces Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan.
And the prospect of Larson running at the Indianapolis 500, meanwhile, is a mouth-watering one, even if it’s unlikely.
Larson sat in Target teammate Dixon’s No. 9 Target Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet, and posted this picture to Twitter.

Meanwhile, IndyCar and the official team Twitter account have rolled with it:
Come on over Kyle! You'll love it! #Indy500 #IndyCar https://t.co/jix4NE5e03

Hey @GanassiChip, we think we know what's on @KyleLarsonRacin's Christmas List. https://t.co/v7Gasb3KUB

As evidenced by several drivers, most recently 2014 Indianapolis 500 rookie-of-the-year Kurt Busch, an Indy-Charlotte double is not just possible but achievable.
I can’t be the only one who’d love to see Larson add his name to that list.
