“The King” may have left South Beach, but a talented king in another sport made a cameo there last night and was welcomed with his own jersey.
Lewis Hamilton’s U.S. tour – the Englishman continues to spend more of his time in the offseason Stateside – saw him arrive in Miami as the Miami Heat hosted the Dallas Mavericks. As was the case in the 2006 NBA Finals, the Heat won, this time by a score of 106-82.
Hamilton was presented with his own No. 44 jersey during the evening and thanked the Heat for their hospitality.
He added a couple more images later in the day. He was presented with Luol Deng’s jersey and also released a pic of him sitting courtside.
This isn’t Hamilton’s first time in Miami, though. Prior to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix season finale, Hamilton was at Homestead-Miami Speedway for Jeff Gordon’s final race in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (see above).
