Manor Racing has added Pat Fry, formerly Ferrari’s head of race track engineering, to its own engineering staff for the 2016 season as an engineering consultant.
Fry’s track record also includes longer stints at McLaren, from 1993 to 2010, and Benetton prior to that. He left Ferrari at the end of the 2014 season following that team’s technical restructuring.
Fry joins Nikolas Tombazis, Ferrari’s former head of aerodynamics, as key technical additions to the Manor Racing team for this season. And like Fry, he’s also worked at Benetton, McLaren and Ferrari; Fry and Tombazis’ time at McLaren overlapped in 2004 and 2005, and briefly at Ferrari in 2014.
Manor is yet to name its drivers for the 2016 season.
