Scuderia Toro Rosso’s new Formula 1 car, the STR11, has broken cover for the first time in Barcelona with an all-blue testing livery.
Toro Rosso faced a race against time to get the STR11 ready for the start of pre-season testing after a late change in engine supplier, switching to the 2015-spec Ferrari power units in December.
The team managed to get the car set for the first test, but will not debut its livery for the 2016 season until a later date.
There was no official unveil of the STR11 by Toro Rosso on Monday in Barcelona, with the first pictures of the car coming when it rolled out onto the track for the first time.
Drivers Carlos Sainz Jr. and Max Verstappen will share driving duties in Barcelona, with Sainz getting the first run in the new car on Monday.
Unofficial 2015 rookie of the year Verstappen will then take the reins of the car on Tuesday before handing back over to Sainz for Wednesday. Verstappen is set to close out the first test on Thursday.
