Hoosier Lottery to commemorate 100th Indy 500 with new scratch-off game

Hoosier Lottery Indy 500

Drivers and teams aren’t the only ones that will get richer from the Indianapolis 500.

So can you.

For the first time, the Hoosier Lottery has partnered with Indianapolis Motor Speedway to offer the “Official Indy 500 Scratch-Off Game” to celebrate the 100th running of the legendary Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

IMS and lottery officials announced the new game Tuesday. Tickets are now available for sale at all retailers throughout Indiana.

“Both the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Hoosier Lottery are all about celebrating and promoting the great state we live in,” J. Douglas Boles, Indianapolis Motor Speedway president, said in a media release. “I’m so excited fans will have the chance to play this new game that commemorates a monumental moment in Indiana’s history, the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race.”

Tickets are priced at $5 apiece. The luckiest winners can claim prizes up to $100,000, along with what state officials said are thousands of $100 prizes, as well as one of four Legends packages.

The Legends packages will allow one winner and three guests to have garage passes, tickets to a Blake Shelton concert, pre-race driver introductions and the post-race victory podium, as well as a four-night hotel stay with transportation and spending money.

There are several additional prize-winning packages, as well, that can be found online at HoosierLottery.com.

If you fail on your first try at a winning ticket, all non-winning Indianapolis 500 scratch-off tickets are eligible for the second-chance promotion, but it must be done by April 24.

The $100,000 grand prize cash drawing will take place in June. All second-chance entries are also eligible for the big prize, as well.
