Rosberg isn’t just winning races, but he’s winning Twitter pre-China

So if you’ve been paying attention to the wonderful world of Formula 1 politics in recent weeks to kick off the 2016 season, you know that at one point, the Grand Prix Drivers Association penned a collective letter addressing its concerns about the sport’s future direction and Bernie Ecclestone then offered a reply – or retort – back, although he did admit the decision-making process was obsolete.

While the unity was evident within the letter, there hadn’t been a picture showing that unitedness among the F1 driving fraternity.

Until today. And you can thank the hottest driver in the sport at the moment – Nico Rosberg – for posting it.

Rosberg enters this weekend’s Chinese Grand Prix (Sunday, 1:30 a.m. ET, NBCSN) on a roll having won the last five Grands Prix in succession – the final three last year and the first two of 2016.

Most of the drivers were in this pic from a “family dinner” the drivers had before China, and Rosberg went to Twitter to post this.

The drivers in the picture include at least Rosberg, Daniel Ricciardo, Fernando Alonso, Nico Hulkenberg, Valtteri Bottas, Max Verstappen, Daniil Kvyat, Esteban Gutierrez, Sergio Perez, Felipe Massa, Marcus Ericsson, Felipe Nasr, Carlos Sainz Jr., Pascal Wehrlein, Sebastian Vettel, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.

Also notable here is Hamilton’s inadvertent but potentially excellent troll of a hat that says “Prosperity” on it.

If I had to place a bet on where Kimi Raikkonen was, I’d guess the bar. Or an ice cream truck.

It’s rare you see something like this so kudos to most of the F1 driving fraternity for pulling it off, and bigger kudos to Rosberg for posting this.
