Polesitter Helio Castroneves leads the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach at the 40-lap halfway mark of the 80-lap event.

Castroneves has led 36 laps, with reigning Verizon IndyCar Series champ Scott Dixon having led three laps and Charlie Kimball has led one lap. Castroneves has a 1.0454-second lead over Dixon with 40 laps remaining.

There has been very little movement among the top-10 qualifiers in the race. The biggest mover has been Graham Rahal, who started 17th but has climbed to 10th at the midpoint, primarily by strategy, although he made three early lap passes.

Weather has been perfect and there have been no major incidents, and no cautions.

Here’s how the top-10 looks at halfway: Castroneves, Dixon, Simon Pagenaud, Will Power, Tony Kanaan, Juan Pablo Montoya, Takuma Sato, Josef Newgarden, James Hinchcliffe and Rahal.
