Pirelli has released the tire compound team choices for the Russian Grand Prix, which runs May 1, and Pirelli’s supersoft compound is the preference up and down the grid.
Each team has gone for at least six sets of supersofts for the weekend, although most teams are in the seven to 10 set range of supersofts. The exceptions are Ferrari and Manor, each of which has gone for six.
Ferrari is the only team that’s gambling on softs, with six sets of softs to match its six sets of supersofts. Every other team on the grid has a supersoft preference.
The medium tire, again the hardest compound for the weekend, is the bare minimum selected with all teams bar one (Manor) opting only for a single set.
