Williams has confirmed that development driver Alex Lynn will take part in the upcoming Formula 1 test in Barcelona following the Spanish Grand Prix.
Lynn joined Williams’ junior programme after winning the GP3 title in 2014 before being promoted into the role of development driver for the current season.
The Briton will now enjoy a run in the Williams FW38 car at the first in-season test of 2016 following the Spanish Grand Prix, splitting running with full-time driver Felipe Massa at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
The two-day test is the first of two in 2016, the second coming after the British Grand Prix at Silverstone in July.
Besides his commitments with Williams, Lynn is also racing in GP2 this year where he is expected to fight for the drivers’ championship with DAMS.
