Nico Rosberg may enjoy a healthy 43-point advantage at the top of the Formula 1 drivers’ championship, but the German knows that when your teammate is Lewis Hamilton, no lead is enough.

Hamilton put his run of bad luck behind him to take an emphatic pole position in qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix on Saturday, producing a stunning final lap to take P1 by three-tenths of a second.

Rosberg was without answer in second place, but with the Mercedes drivers locking out the front row of the grid, we may be poised for our first straight fight of the season between the two.

Rosberg is chasing an eighth straight grand prix victory, while Hamilton knows that a win here would be the first step along the road to getting back in the championship hunt.
