One year later: Hinchcliffe not only back at IMS, but stronger (VIDEO)

This day last year, James Hinchcliffe’s life changed in ways he could have never imagined following a near-death accident in practice for the Indianapolis 500.

Today, one year later, Hinchcliffe is several days into practice for the 100th Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil in his No. 5 Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Honda and has five races in the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series season under his belt.

Via Spyder Active, here’s another video - and a very powerful one - of Hinchcliffe’s recovery and comeback. You can view it above.

It’s one of a couple that have come out this year; NBCSN also did one prior to the Desert Diamond West Valley Phoenix Grand Prix in April, Hinchcliffe’s first oval start this season.

Hinchcliffe enters the Indianapolis 500 off a podium finish in Saturday’s Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis, when he ended third.
