Following this morning’s GP2 Series sprint race from the streets of Baku, Azerbaijan, Nobuharu Matsushita did a fair bit of erratic driving on restarts and has thus been suspended by series officials ahead of the next round in Austria at the start of July.
Per the series, Matsushita overtook a Safety Car before the line and then bobbed and weaved from there, which caused danger to other competitors.
In another Safety Car period, Matsushita moved all over the track and accelerated and braked repeatedly.
ART Grand Prix will need to find a substitute driver then.
