JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - The second of two planned races for Red Bull Global Rallycross at MCAS New River in Jacksonville, N.C. was scrubbed Sunday owing to unraceable weather conditions.
In a case of what was nearly deja vu, a hot, humid, clear day ceded to heavy rains and lightning, which put track activity on a delay.
An attempt to grid the cars occurred later Sunday but did not come to realization, because the track was still too wet to run on.
Red Bull Global Rallycross is in the process of determining the next step for what was Round 7 of the season, which did have race activity go on (heats, semifinals) but not the finals themselves.
