Pirelli has confirmed its tire selections for the Mexican Grand Prix at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in October.
Following the introduction of new tire rules for 2016 that allows teams to choose how many sets of each compound they take to the race, the allocations have been announced well in advance.
For flyaway races, the deadline is 14 weeks, leading to today’s confirmation of the picks for the race in Mexico City at the end of October.
Pirelli will take the medium, soft and super-soft tires to Mexico, mirroring the selection made for 13 other races this year.
Teams are required to save one set of the medium and soft tires until the race, during which it must use at least one of the compounds.
The red super-soft tires must be used by drivers partaking in the final stage of qualifying on Saturday.
The Mexican Grand Prix takes place on October 30.
