During the weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, the IndyCar community gathered to remember the life of Jenny Nickell, who made a huge impact on open-wheel racing TV and the people she worked with in her life.
She was NBCSN’s Verizon IndyCar Series pit producer and head of her “pit posse,” as she called them. But she was so much more than that.
Nickell died suddenly and unexpectedly just after the Toronto race a couple weeks ago.
Her friend Bob Jenkins narrates this tribute video produced by Taylor Rollins, linked below, with NBCSN contributor and pit reporter Robin Miller providing the intro before tossing to another of her friends, A.J. Foyt. Miller’s tribute piece is linked here.
Here’s a couple other images from the weekend paying tribute to her.
