Jaguar has released a short teaser video as the countdown to its long-awaited arrival in Formula E continues.
Jaguar confirmed last December that it would be entering the all-electric series from its third season in a bid to develop its electric technology in extreme performance conditions.
The British marque has completed extensive testing with its powertrain for season three, and will hit the track alongside its rivals for the first time at Donington Park next week.
Ahead of its first public outing, Jaguar has released a short video showing its car on-track at Mallory Park in England, as well as confirming the date of its official launch on September 8.
Jaguar is expected to test using a generic livery, much like the one in the video, at Donington Park next week, as well as fielding a number of drivers before making a final decision on its line-up.
Jaguar’s entry to Formula E marks its first involvement in international motorsport since its ill-fated five-season stint in Formula 1 that ended in 2004.
The opening race of the season is scheduled for October 9 in Hong Kong.
