Nico Rosberg picked up his first Driver of the Day award after dominating Sunday’s Italian Grand Prix en route to his seventh victory of the 2016 Formula 1 season.
Rosberg won the opening four races of the year, but fell short of being voted as the Driver of the Day on each of those occasions.
Romain Grosjean’s heroics for Haas won him the opening two awards before Daniil Kvyat and Kevin Magnussen emerged victorious in China and Russia respectively.
The Driver of the Day award is new for 2016, giving fans a chance to have their say following a race weekend via the F1 website.
F1 announced Rosberg’s victory on Twitter earlier on Monday.
Victory at Monza saw Rosberg cut the gap to Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton in the drivers’ championship down to just two points.
