Hooray for dry in Austin! Mostly.
Outside of a few spotty projected showers on Thursday, Formula 1’s official weather client, Ubimet, has forecast a dry weekend with primarily seasonal temperatures the rest of the weekend in Austin at Circuit of The Americas – thus marking a nice 180-degree reversal from last year’s waterlogged deluge.
Today and Wednesday should see near record heat before the intermittent showers pop up on Thursday – as showers are keen to do in Austin – and then seasonal temps with partly to mostly sunny skies.
Per Ubimet, highs of 24 to 26 degrees Celsius are forecast on Thursday, with highs around 25 on Friday and Saturday and warming to 28 on Sunday.
In Fahrenheit terms, that’s a range from 75 degrees Fahrenheit (24 Celsius) up to 82 (28 Celsius), making for a nice weekend ahead for the fifth running of the United States Grand Prix at Austin.
