Indianapolis Motor Speedway is known for its horsepower.
But Tuesday afternoon, the home of the Indianapolis 500 was more about foot power.
The Indy Eleven, of the North American Soccer League, celebrated advancing to the league’s playoff semifinals (Nov. 5) by taking part in a exhibition game of sorts vs. a team composed of drivers from the Verizon IndyCar Series and Indy Lights, as well as several employees of the Speedway and the Indianapolis Public Schools.
The match was called the “Battle on the Bricks,” played on the Speedway’s frontstretch near the legendary row of bricks at the start/finish line.

Among drivers that took part were Stefan Wilson, Zach Veach, Dalton Kellett and Spencer Pigot, who told the TV station after scoring a goal, “We scored two goals, a few more than we thought we would.”
