Jenson Button will use a special helmet design similar to the one from his Formula 1 championship year for his final grand prix in Abu Dhabi this weekend.
Button announced back in September that he would be taking a step back from his McLaren race seat for 2017, making way for Stoffel Vandoorne to move up full-time.
Button does have a contract with McLaren for the 2018 season, with a comeback being possible if both the driver and team are willing.
However, Button is not anticipating a return, so is treating the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend as his final F1 appearance.
Ahead of practice on Friday, Button revealed a special design for his final race, featuring the fluorescent yellow and white look used throughout the 2009 season when he won the drivers’ championship for Brawn GP. There is also a glimpse of pink on the helmet design, paying tribute to his father, John Button.
