In Thursday’s fourth stage of the 2017 Dakar Rally, San Salvado de Jujuy to Tupiza, Cyril Depres took his first cars win while the defending winner in bikes, Toby Price, is out with an injury sustained in an accident.
You can see Thursday’s stage from the Dakar at 6:30 p.m. ET on Friday, on NBCSN.

Cyril Despres made it four stage winners in as many days in cars, with his first of the rally in the No. 307 Peugeot.
Despres won today over Mikko Hirvonen and Nani Roma, while two other Peugeots - Stephane Peterhansel and Sebastien Loeb - lost significant ground.
Toyota’s Nasser Al-Attiyah, meanwhile, is now an official retirement from the rally - a bitter blow to the stage one winner.

Peterhansel has lost quite a lot of time on the favorites, and now it's Loeb who stops (the reason is unknown yet.)
