Renault has confirmed that it will launch its car for the 2017 Formula 1 season, likely to be called the RS17, on February 21.
Renault returned to F1 as a constructor in 2016 after six seasons away, taking over the financially-stricken Lotus operation at Enstone.
With its focus laying on rebuilding the team in the long-term, Renault’s on-track fortunes in 2016 were of little note as it finished ninth in the constructors’ championship with just three points finishes to its name.
Renault will welcome Le Mans winner and recent Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg to its line-up for 2017, partnering the German with Jolyon Palmer, who is retained for a second year.
Renault confirmed on Friday that it will be unveiling its new car on February 21 before its first pre-season test run in Barcelona on February 27.
