Fernando Alonso has made it back to the Brickyard, with his first test complete in the No. 29 McLaren Honda Andretti entry for Andretti Autosport today at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Alonso reflected on a busy day afterwards with NBCSN’s Kevin Lee, who hosted the live stream via NBCSN and IMS earlier today. In 110 laps, Alonso’s best speed was 222.548 mph around the 2.5-mile oval.
Afterwards, analysts Marty Snider, Nate Ryan and Steve Letarte discuss Alonso’s prospects for the rest of the month. He’s run solo, but how he’ll fare in traffic remains to be seen.
