Paul Di Resta, who spent the 2017 Formula 1 season as a reserve driver for Williams Martini Racing and even filled in for Felipe Massa at the Hungarian Grand Prix, is scheduled to take part in the FIA Formula E rookie test at the Marrakesh ePrix, doing so with Panasonic Jaguar Racing.
The team revealed the announcement via their Twitter page on Wednesday, also detailing that Pietro Fittipaldi, grandson of Emerson Fittipaldi, will join Di Resta in the rookie test.

Di Resta, in addition to his Formula 1 duties, contested a full 2017 DTM campaign with Mercedes - Di Resta is a former DTM champion - and is slated to run the Rolex 24 with United Autosport.
The 31-year-old had also been mentioned as a possible candidate for the second Williams F1 seat in 2018, alongside incumbent Lance Stroll. Di Resta even completed a one-day test with Williams in October, but does not appear to be the favorite to land that seat, with Russian young gun Sergey Sirotkin now reportedly in the mix.
