Robert Wickens is feeling a need for speed

Injured IndyCar driver Robert Wickens has good news: he’s feeling a need for more speed.

The Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver took to Twitter earlier this week to ask members of the Formula E Series to help him gain more power for his electric wheelchair, which he uses to get around the Indianapolis-area facility where he continues rehabilitation from his horrific August 19th crash at Pocono Raceway.

“ATTENTION ANY @FIAFormulaE TEAMS OR STAFF How can I make my electric wheel chair faster without the hospital knowing?” Wickens quipped in his tweet.

The request makes sense, given that Formula E cars are electric-powered by batteries.

So, Formula E folks, can you help Wickens out?

Without the nurses and doctors knowing, of course.
