The 2019 IndyCar Series doesn’t begin until March 10, but preparations are already underway for several teams that are taking part in off-season testing.
Monday, Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi and AJ Foyt Racing’s Tony Kanaan took to Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, to get a feel for the place, which will be on the IndyCar schedule for the first time ever on March 24, 2019.
A full all-team IndyCar test is slated for COTA in February 12-13.

Also on Monday, Chip Ganassi Racing tested at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama.
Yesterday was a good day at @BarberMotorPark for #NTTDATARacing's @FRosenqvist as he got his first taste of #IndyCar's new universal aero kit and PFC braking system, which weren't on the model he tested with @CGRindycar in 2016. https://t.co/R5HfBkEMQr
