Qualification Report for Glendale Supercross

In Qualifying 2 at Glendale for Round 2 of the Monster Energy Supercross seasons, Justin Hill improved more than a second and a half to post the fastest time of the afternoon. His fast lap was 1:00.659.

Second-best Cooper Webb bounded up the leaderboard with a lap of 1:00.887 and improved from his 13th-place showing in Qualification 1.

Eli Tomac (1:00.890), Marvin Musquin (1:00.977) and Jason Anderson (1:00.062) rounded out the top five.

After a disappointing run last week in Anaheim, Anderson was determined to rebound. He posted the fastest time in Qualifying 1 with a lap of 1:01.827.

In that session, Malcolm Stewart (1:01.882) set the second fastest time. Stewart finished seventh last week after lining up second for the feature.

Hill (1:02.202), Musquin (1:02.277) and Justin Brayton 1:02.515 rounded out the top three.

In the 250 class:

Group A, Qualifying 1: Dylan Ferrandis (1:01.914), Adam Cianciarulo (1:02.148), Colt Nichols (1:02.593), James Decotis (1:03.211) and RJ Hampshire (1:03.441 – set on his last lap)

Group A, Qualifying 2: Ferrandis improved his time to 01:01.270. Cianciarulo (1:01.286) and Nichols (1:01.470) replicated their position for qualification 1. Hampshire (1:01.773) leaped over Decotis (1:02.399)

Qualification report for Anaheim II Supercross

Marvin Musquin posted the fastest lap in Qualification 2 for the third round of the 2019 Supercross season at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. His fastest lap was 57.660 seconds.

Eli Tomac was second-fast at 58:026 with Ken Roczen rounding out the top three at 58.381.

The 250s were almost as fast in the Qualification 2 with Adam Cianciarulo posting a lap of 58.892. In fact, in the first qualification round while the track was still drying out from weekday rains, the 250s were considerably quicker with Dylan Ferrandis’ lap of 58.637 topping the 450 field. Tomac was fastest in that session with a lap of 59.003 seconds.

In the 250 class:

Group A, Qualifying 2: Adam Cianciarulo and the field lost some time from Qualification 1, posting a fastest lap of 58.892 seconds. Dylan Ferrandis was second fast at 59.027 with RJ Hampshire third at 59.541 seconds. Thomas Do was quickest in Group B with a time of 1:02.704.
Group A, Qualifying 1: Ferrandis (58:637) was fastest over Cianciarulo (58.725) and Colt Nichols (59.173). Scott Champion was fastest from Group B with a 1:03.544, which was 19th best.
