Alexander Rossi fastest in second practice at Road America

Alexander Rossi was fastest in the second and final practice session of the afternoon for the NTT IndyCar Series at Road America, with an elapsed time of 1 minute, 43.1206 seconds around the 14-Turn, 4.048-mile Wisconsin road course.

Rossi led Will Power by 0.2883 seconds. Power’s teammate Josef Newgarden finished the session third fastest with a lap of 1 minute, 43.4758 seconds.

Rookie Colton Herta (1 minute, 43.7415 seconds) ended the session with fourth fastest, followed by Felix Rosenqvist, who rounded out the top five with an elapsed time of 1 minute, 43.7464 seconds.

Graham Rahal (1 minute, 43.9772 seconds), whose car carries a livery in tribute to the Miller Genuine Draft machine made famous by his father Bobby, finished the session sixth fastest. Ryan Hunter-Reay (1 minute, 44.0136 seconds) finished the session seventh after being the fastest driver in the first practice session earlier in the day.

James Hinchcliffe (1 minute, 44.0423 seconds), Patricio O’Ward (1 minute, 44.0578 seconds). and Marco Andretti (1 minute, 44.0731 seconds) finished the session eighth, ninth and tenth, respectively.

The third and final practice session for the REV Group Grand Prix of Road America takes place tomorrow afternoon at 12:00 p.m. ET, with live streaming of the session available on NBC Sports Gold.
