With four races remaining on the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series schedule, the battle for the championship is in full-swing, and today’s race at Pocono Raceway promises to bring plenty of excitement.
With yesterday’s qualifying session washed out, the starting grid for this afternoon’s ABC Supply 500 was set by entrant points, meaning Josef Newgarden will start the race from the pole position.
Defending race winner Alexander Rossi will start alongside Newgarden in row one, followed by Indy 500 winner Simon Pageanaud and defending NTT IndyCar Series Champ Scott Dixon.
Before any of the four championship hopefuls can even think about hoisting the Astor Cup at Laguna Seca next month, they’ll have to first survive 500 miles of superspeedway racing at the track known as “The Tricky Triangle”.
