IMSA’s WeatherTech Sports Car Championship is in beautiful Monterey California this weekend for the penultimate round of the 2019 season, the Monterey SportsCar Championship.
All four classes will compete in today’s 2 hour and 40 minute event at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
Helio Castroneves starts this afternoon’s race from the pole position after his teammate Ricky Taylor posted a flying lap of 1 minute, 15.035 seconds around the 11-Turn, 2.238-mile circuit during yesterday’s qualifying session.
Acura Team Penske teammate will start today’s race from the second position.
