The World of Outlaws Late Model Series has postponed the next two races at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee (originally scheduled for March 27), and Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina (March 28), in accordance with guidelines from the White House Coronavirus Task Force.

The task force has asked Americans to “curtail events and increase social distancing,” according to a release on the Outlaws web site.

“After much consideration and in cooperation with our tracks, World of Outlaws events scheduled during this period have been postponed,” the release read. “The World of Outlaws will continue to monitor developments across our nation and make decisions on future events when appropriate.”

In postponing the next two events, the Outlaws Late Models can return to action in early April if conditions permit.

The next event on the calendar after the two-race postponement is the Illini 100, a three-day show from April 2-4 at Farmer City (Illinois) Raceway.

The World of Outlaws Sprint Car series are currently on hold as well through April 10.
