“The Doctor” will be making a virtual house call Sunday in MotoGP.
Nine-time champion Valentino Rossi has joined the field of 10 riders who will compete Sunday in the second #StayAtHomeGP, which is contested over consoles on the MotoGP ’19 video game.
Repsol Honda Team’s Alex Marquez, who won the inaugural MotoGP virtual race March 29, will return for the second event with the rest of the top five in Race 1: Francesco Bagnaia, Maverick Viñales, Fabio Quartararo and Marc Marquez.
Joining Rossi in the race as newcomers to virtual MotoGP: Danilo Petrucci, Michele Pirro, Tito Rabat and Takaaki Nakagami.
The second #StayAtHomeGP will be held at 9 a.m. ET Sunday. It will be streamed on several platforms and also will be featured via replay on the Motorsports on NBC YouTube channel.
